So here is a time-lapse showing a panel from a Church window being dismantled. All the panels are taken apart and rebuilt with new lead. Each piece of glass is cleaned with wire wool to remove the years of grime and any cracked bits are repaired. The window will then be re-leaded.
We have been away working on location at the church for the last 4 weeks, it’s nice to spend some time in the studio. It’s no less hard work, it just means I get to go home to my own flat at the end of the day and not a hotel for a whole week. But then again there isn’t a fully cooked breakfast waiting for me when I get up in my own flat…… will someone make me eggs?
